Dr. Torian K. Salary

Originally from Haines City, Florida, he attended the 2nd Street Church of Christ in Winter Haven, FL, and was baptized at the age of 14 after studying under Eddie L. Harper. Even at an early age, he was involved in church delivering sermonettes. This initial dedication led to an opportunity to preach at the Southeastern Regional Youth for Christ Conference in New Orleans at the age of 15.
He received his Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism & Public Relations from Troy University in 2008, his Masters in Innovative Leadership from Western International University in 2014. Finally, he earned his Doctorate in Education & Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University in 2019.
He has recently enrolled in Biblical Studies and plans to complete another Bachelors and Masters from Sunset International Bible Institute’s School of Preaching. He made Atlanta home for his family in 2014. Shortly after that, he became the Youth Minister for Hillcrest Church of Christ.
In August of 2019, he was named the Interim Minister and began working to deliver messages that inspired and helped to grow the church. He was ordained a Minister of the Gospel by Elders David Giddens and Ken Neal on February 23rd of 2020. After a successful term of 10 months, he was announced as the Minister of Hillcrest Church of Christ.
A true wordsmith and former poet, he delivers messages that are unique, powerful, impactful, convicting, yet true to God’s word. Blending truth with humor, he has been successful throughout his 14 years of ministry at various congregations.
He’s had the opportunity to serve the following churches: Tonto Road COC (Phoenix, AZ), Northgate COC (Phoenix, AZ), Troy Church of Christ (Troy, AL), Hilltop COC (Winter Haven, FL), and Southside COC (Valdosta, GA).
Although he is the Minister, he still holds the youth very close to his heart and is involved in all youth operations at Hillcrest. Here, he gets the chance to mentor the youth, expose them to the truth through a language they understand and prepare the young men for the ministry. This is evident through our youth Sunday worship service lineup, where more young men volunteer to serve than we have room for.
Aside from his extreme dedication to his ministry and God’s church, he is sure to make time for his family. He is blessed with his beautiful wife, Jasmine, by his side, along with Michael, Kayla, T.J. and Tahj.
